WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Baseball Coach Kevin Anderson announced his 2018 schedule Tuesday morning.
Anderson, who is preparing for his 15th season as the Hornets skipper, has 26 home games slated for next spring.
The squad opens the year with a 11-game homestand beginning with a three-game set February 17 and 18 versus Neumann University. Following that non-league set, Anderson's club hosts Misercordia and Widener in a noon doubleheaders February 24 and 25.
The ODAC opening doubleheader is March 10 at Lynchburg. Shenandoah also travels to Guilford, Hampden-Sydney and Virginia Wesleyan for league doubleheaders while hosting Roanoke, Emory and Henry and Randolph-Macon.
SU completes its non-league schedule with home games versus Mount Aloysius, Frostburg, Gallaudet, Susquehanna, Messiah and Penn St. - Harrisburg and road games at Dickinson, Marymount and to Elizabethtown.
"We have a number of quality opponents on this schedule," Anderson, who is 27 wins from 600 in his collegiate coaching career. "We got off to a great start last year and that propelled us to an excellent season.
"We need to be ready right from the start if we expect to have that kind of success once again."
