LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University baseball team had nine players earn All-ODAC honors in selections announced Friday as part of the league's annual championship tournament.

SU had two players: outfielder Grant Thompson and designated hitter Keegan Woolford, named first team All-ODAC. Chase Smallwood, Luke Nussman, Tristan Baker, Robert Marcelle, Colin Morse and Michael Bugonowicz were selected to the second team while Nick Goode rounds out the honoree with a third team pick in the outfield.

The nine selections leads the league and is a new program record for the Hornets.

Baker and Morse are now three-time All-ODAC selections with Nussman and Bugonowicz picked for a second straight year.

Thompson, a sophomore, grabbed a starting position in right field this season and heads into the conference championships with a .403 batting average along with 12 doubles and three home runs.

Woolford, also a sophomore, leads the ODAC in RBI with 57 and his eight home runs are second in the loop. He drove in 32 runs in 20 league games and boasted a .628 slugging percentage.

Smallwood was picked at catcher, Nussman at first base, Baker at second, Marcelle at shortstop, Morse as a starting pitcher and Bugonowicz as a reliever.

Smallwood led the Hornets in hitting in league play with a .468 average with Nussman hitting .377, Marcelle .347 and Baker .338. The quartet combined for 56 runs batted and 24 extra base hits in that same span.

Morse had four of his six wins in league play with Bugonowicz registering three of his five wins and all four saves. The duo are second and seven in the league in strikeouts, respectively, while Bugonowicz is second and Morse fifth in earned run average.

Goode earns his first-ever ODAC honor after hitting .324 with 23 hits in 71 at-bats in league play. He also drove in 16 runs.
