WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Football Coach Scott Yoder released his pre-season roster Wednesday morning ahead of the first official practice of the 2017 season later in the day.
Yoder, who is preparing for his fifth season as the Hornets head coach, saw 65 newcomers report along with 60 returnees Tuesday.
"Everything went smoothly with check-in yesterday and the guys are ready to get out there and start practicing," Yoder said.
"We can't wait to get started."
The squad, which opens its 2017 season at home on September 2 in a 7 p.m. non-league game versus Gallaudet, begins official practice later this afternoon with strength and conditioning testing.
The team will practice on grass for the remainder of the week before moving to the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf on Saturday.
