FOREST, Va. - Four Shenandoah University field hockey players earned All-ODAC accolades in selections announced Tuesday morning by the league office.

Senior Elizabeth Pardo headlines the four women earning All-ODAC honors by being named as the Virginia Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year for field hockey. Pardo, who was also named third team All-ODAC, is the second woman in program history to be named Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Junior Morgan Payne and sophomore Taylor Hayes earned first team All-ODAC honors with junior Kayla Alderman picking up a second team nod.

All four are repeat honorees. Pardo is a three-time All-ODAC selection, having earned first team honors in 2016, with Alderman and Hayes named second team All-ODAC and Payne to the third team last fall.

This season, Hayes was third on the team in scoring with five goals and five assists for 15 points with Payne adding 12 points on four goals and four assists.

Alderman, who along with Hayes and Payne started all 19 games this season, earns her second All-ODAC honor after scoring one goal and adding two assists for four points this season.

Pardo joins Kelani Bailey '16 as ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winners from field hockey thanks to her 3.95 GPA as a kinesiology major. In addition to her three All-ODAC honors, she has been named to the ODAC All-Tournament team twice and to the NFHCA Academic Squad three times. In 2015-16 and 2016-17, she was selected as an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.

Pardo and Payne served as team captains this season with Pardo also serving as the SAAC co-President.

Hayes, the 2016 ODAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Year, was also named as the league's Player of the Week on September 4 after leading the Hornets to season opening wins over Hood and Washington & Jefferson.
