Men's Golf Finishes Second

SUFFOLK, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's golf team had a pair of top 10 finishes Sunday at the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational at Sleepy Hole Golf Course.

Playing again at the par-72, 7007-yard Sleepy Hole GC, senior Doc Schulte had a three-over-par 75 with classmate Brett Dubin adding a 76 and Connor McCarthy a 78.

Blake Woodie completed the Hornets qualifying scorers with an 82 – Shenandoah's 311 total was good for second place overall.

Joseph Gesell had a 91 that did not count toward the team total while Jeremy Mills had 81 and Trevor Gardner 85 playing as individuals.

Dubin finished fourth overall in the tournament with Schulte sixth.

Sunday's round completes the regular season. SU opens ODAC Tournament play on Sunday at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
