WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Tim Marshall announced his 2018 schedule Tuesday morning.

Marshall, who led his Hornets to a program-record-tying nine wins as well as their first-ever berth in the ODAC Tournament last spring, has seven home games on deck for the 2018 season.

Shenandoah opens the slate on Valentine's Day with a 4 p.m. non-league home game against Averett University in what will be the first-ever intercollegiate contest for the Cougars

After a four-game road trip that sees SU travel to Mary WashingtonHood, Albright and Elizabethtown, the Hornets return home on Wednesday, March 7 versus Marymount. This 7 p.m. contest is the final game before opening ODAC play at Washington and Lee on Saturday, March 10.

The ODAC home opener, versus Roanoke, is one week later and is the squad's final home game in March. Marshall's club completes the month with ODAC contests at Guilford and Randolph colleges on the 24th and 31st, respectively.

SU plays four of its six home games in April at home, traveling only to future ODAC opponent Ferrum on the fourth and to the other set of ODAC Hornets, Lynchburg College, on the 25th.

In between, SU hosts Virginia Wesleyan on the 7th, Hampden-Sydney on the 14th, Randolph-Macon on the 18th and Bridgewater on the 21st.

The BC contest will serve as Senior Day.

"We had a great year last year and we want to build upon that success," Marshall said. "The ODAC is one of the top Division III leagues in the country and we need to be ready right from the start.

"We have a number of players that are going to be playing bigger roles this season and this schedule is going to show where we are in our development as a program."
