WINCHESTER, Va. - We continue our look at the Class of 2018 by meeting women's basketball star Kirstyn Arcata.

Major: Psychology major with biology minor (Pre-OT track)

Sport(s) Played: Women's Basketball

Why did you choose Shenandoah? I chose Shenandoah because they had the perfect balance of athletics and my chosen field of study, occupational therapy.

Favorite Class and Professor: My favorite class was ASL with Judy Bradley.

What do you like most about playing sports at SU? Definitely my teammates. I will always love basketball, but the friendships I have made along the way are what made my experience at SU so amazing.

Favorite thing to do in Winchester: Hangout with my friends and play basketball.

Favorite SU Athletics Memory: So many great memories, but beating Virginia Wesleyan in the playoffs to get to get to our teams ultimate goal of playing at Salem, tops it off.

What has playing athletics at SU meant to you? I could not imagine my college experience without basketball being a part of it. Representing SU has been both a privilege and a growing experience for me as a captain and fellow teammate. Most of all I am grateful for my team and coaching staff, who along the way has become my family.

Post-Graduate Plans: I start graduate school this month for occupational therapy.

Nobody knows that I... am obsessed with crocs.
