SUFFOLK, Va.  – The Shenandoah University women's golf team earned its first-ever championship with a 394 Sunday afternoon in the final round of the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational.

Playing for a second straight day over the par-72, 5475-yard Sleepy Hole Golf Course, the women posted a 770 total as the only full squad in the tournament.

Madison Ngo had a 94, Emily Conrad 96, Katie Davis 99 and McKenzie Slattery 105 to make up the Hornets 394 total.

Sunday's tournament is the final one of the regular season for the squad. SU is back in action at the ODAC Tournament beginning Sunday at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
