WINCHESTER, Va. - We continue our look at the Class of 2018 by meeting cross country/track & field athlete Sarah Mann.

Major(s): Biology with minors in Chemistry & Psychology 

Sport(s) Played: Cross Country/Indoor Track & Field/Outdoor Track & Field 

Why did you choose Shenandoah? It had the academic program that I wished to pursue and I could continue being an athlete. 

Favorite Class and Professor: Biochemistry with Dr. Davis 

What do you like most about playing sports at SU? I've been able to form many forever friendships with many of my teammates. 

Favorite thing to do in Winchester: Free bowling night 

Favorite SU Athletics Memory: Seeing my teammate and best friend Shelby Shrader win the steeplechase at our conference championships in 2016. I cried I was so happy for her. 

What has playing athletics at SU meant to you? I think it's kept my on track with school and something to look forward to. I just like competing. 

Post-Graduate Plans: Pursue a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies 

Nobody knows that I... hate honeynut cheerios. Plain cheerios is the way to go.
