WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team earned its first ODAC men's tennis victory of the season Friday with a 5-4 win over Randolph.
Trailing 4-3 after the Hornets (3-9, 1-7 ODAC) and Randolph (0-17, 0-11) split the initial four singles matches, the Hornets rallied to win with victories at Nos. 4 and 6 singles.

Khai Vien got the match-clinching win for SU, gutting out a 5-7, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (10-5) win at No. 6. He was put in position to clinch the victory after Brenton Baugh won 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 4.
Darian Diaz and Bryan Harris had the other two singles wins, with Harris winning 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 1-0 (14-12) at No. 1 and Diaz 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1.
The remaining win was an 8-3 victory by Vien and Nick Powers at No. 3 doubles.

The men are off until hosting Bridgewater on Wednesday in a 4 p.m. ODAC match.
