Women's Golf Competes in First Round of Anita Hobson Invitational

RUTHHAVEN, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the Anita Hobson Invitational, scoring a 375 (+87) on Monday at Sewells Point Golf Course.

Gaby Frick led the Hornets with an 86 (+14), with her best stretch of golf coming on at holes six through ten, where she had four straight pars, before capping off the stretch with a birdie on ten. She added an additional four pars throughout the day.

Sophia Hansen shot a 95 (+23), with four pars on the front nine and one on the back. Carley Westmoreland recorded a 96 (+24), with four total pars.

Alexa Strohman had three pars on Monday, as she finished the round with a 98 (+26). Amanda Dasher closed out the Hornets' day with a 102 (+30), as she matched Strohman's three pars.
