Women's Golf Moves Up One Spot and Finishes Fourth at Anita Hobson

RUTHHAVEN, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's golf team moved up one spot and finished fourth at the Anita Hobson Invitational at the Sewells Point Golf Course, scoring a 733 (+157) across the two rounds.

The Hornets shot a 358 (+70) on Tuesday, which was a 17-stroke improvement compared to Monday's team score.

Leading the Hornets, Gaby Frick placed 15th with a 172 (+28), shooting an 86 (+14) for both rounds. On Tuesday, Frick had a birdie on hole one and added four pars along the rest of the way.

Sophia Hansen carded an 87 (+15) on Tuesday, making eight pars, including three straight on holes 15 through 17. Overall at the tournament, Hansen finished 25th with a 182 (+38).

Alexa Strohman placed 29th at 189 (+45) for the two rounds. Her round two score was a 91 (+19), which included seven pars. Strohman also had three consecutive pars, which came on the first three holes of the back nine.

Carley Westmoreland finished two spots behind Strohman with a 31st-place finish. Westmoreland shot a 94 (+22) for round two, bringing her two-round total to 190 (+46), which was helped out by two pars on Tuesday.

Amanda Dasher placed 38th at the invitational, improving her first-round score with a 99 (+27) for round two. She completed the tournament with a 201 (+57).

UP NEXT

This coming weekend, Shenandoah heads to Beachwood, Ohio for the John Carroll Invite.
