Shenandoah University Athletics Spectator Policy for Outdoor Sports
This applies to the following sports: Baseball, Field Hockey, Football, Men's and Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's and Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis.Â
Protocol
- Shenandoah University follows the Virginia Department of Health guidelines for outdoor events. This means a maximum of 30 percent of venue capacity.
- Contactless entry (digital tickets) is utilized and attendees obtain the tickets through a link/code provided by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
- Tickets are mobile only-- Tickets for all events cannot be printed. Tickets cannot be screenshots.Â
- Children 6 or younger do not need to present a ticket or SU Go App "Green Pass" for entry.
- ALL spectators must:
- Download the Shenandoah Go app from the App Store or Google Play and be able to display a "Green Pass" for entry.
- Have a digital ticket to the event
- Wear a mask at all times
- Practice social distancing when seated in bleachers
- Minimum of six feet from any non-family member
- Pre- and post-game tailgating is prohibited.
- There is no charge for tickets or parking this season.
- Spectators must reserve tickets online prior to approaching the gate on game day.
- Access to the stadium will be granted one hour prior to game time.
- Spectators must exit the stadium immediately after the game and are not permitted to gather outside the stadium.
- All home games feature a live stream that can be accessed at: www.suhornets.com/live
Eligible Attendees
- Tickets are restricted to the following groups:
- Student-Athletes in uniform for a game are guaranteed four tickets to that contest (with the exception of softball student-athletes who are guaranteed two tickets due to facility capacity).Â
- Designated codes are given to each student-athlete for them to share with their family members for each game. Tickets can be reserved at www.suhornets.com/tickets with the previously mentioned codes.
- With the exception of football and softball, there are 100 tickets available for Shenandoah University students, faculty/staff/alumni for each competition.Â
- General admission will not be available for SU students, faculty/staff/alumni at football games due to its large roster size.
- Students, faculty/staff/alumni can reserve tickets at www.suhornets.com/tickets USING ANÂ SU EMAIL ADDRESS and that specific game's designated access code (which can be found at SUHornets.com/CODESÂ **you must be signed in with your SU email to view this link**)!
- Due to roster sizes and arena capacities, tickets will not be available for SU students, faculty/staff/alumni at football and softball competitions at this time.
- Please make sure to remember your username and password so you can redeem your ticket at the gate.Â
- Spectators for visiting teams are not permitted.
Indoor Sports
Spectator policy for indoor events at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center (men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, women's volleyball, men's wrestling, indoor tennis events) remains unchanged. No spectators are allowed in the Wilkins Center for the duration of the spring, 2021 semester. This policy also applies to any tennis events held indoors at Winchester Country Club.
