Longtime youth softball coach Kevin Shafer rounds out Courtney Moyer's softball staff.
Shafer joined the SU staff on a part-time basis for the 2022 season after serving as the head softball coach at Osbourn High School in Manassas from 2007 through 2022. In 2021, Shafer was named as the Cedar Run District Coach of the Year.
In 2014, Shafer founded Titan Elite Softball in Manassas and helped more than 30 student-athletes realize their goal of playing college softball.
In addition to his work with youth softball, Shafer has worked as an EMT with the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department since 2005.Â
With the Hornets, he is involved in all aspects of the program including practice and game management, player development, recruiting, and opponent scouting.
