Alfred "AJ" Blaisdell joined the Shenandoah University track & field staff in July, 2019.
A former assistant at both Bridgewater (Mass.) State and Minot (N.D.) State, Blaisdell came to Shenandoah to serve as the throws coach for the men's and women's indoor and outdoor track & field programs.
In four seasons at Bridgewater State, Blaisdell tutored five national qualifiers and twelve MASCAC champions.
At Minot State, he had three national qualifiers and one that earned All-America status.
He holds USTFCCCA certifications in throws, distance specialist, and as a strength and conditioning specialist while also earning USATF Level 2 certifications in sprints, hurdles, relays and throws.Â
Blaisdell also is a USA Weightlifting Level One certified coach.Â
In addition to his full-time duties with the track & field programs, Blaisdell serves the department as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
