Shenandoah University is proud to welcome Alex Reeves as its new assistant wrestling coach. Reeves brings a wealth of experience both as a competitor and as a coach, adding significant depth to the Hornets’ wrestling program.
As a collegiate athlete from 2011 to 2015, Reeves wrestled at Centenary University, consistently competing at the highest level. During his tenure, Centenary ranked as high as third in the nation among Division III programs. Reeves also earned an impressive fourth-place finish at the highly competitive Mid-East Regionals.
Transitioning to coaching, Reeves joined Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) as the Head Assistant Coach from 2018 to 2020. Under his leadership, the program achieved back-to-back conference championships and a regional title. Reeves played a pivotal role in developing three All-Americans and guiding 20 national qualifiers.
In 2021, Reeves was promoted to Head Coach at RCSJ, where he continued to elevate the program. During his tenure, the team captured another conference championship, achieved a regional runner-up finish, and celebrated 14 more national qualifiers and an additional All-American under his guidance.
Coach Reeves’ proven track record of success as both a competitor and a coach makes him a tremendous asset to Shenandoah Wrestling. The Hornets look forward to his contributions as they continue to build a program defined by excellence and achievement.
