Joe Szymanski joined the men's lacrosse staff as a graduate assistant coach in August 2026. 

Szymanski graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland where he was a defender for the Seahawks from 2025-26. During his time as a Seahawk, the defender earned United East Defensive Player of the Year, USILA Honorable Mention All-America, and multiple First Team All-United East honors.

Prior to going to St. Mary's (Md.), Szymanski played two years at Harford Community College, where he won two NJCAA National Championships.
