Mackenzie Plowman joined the track and field and cross country program as a full-time assistant coach prior to the 2026-27 season. Plowman is the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for middle distance events for the Hornets.
Plowman served as a graduate assistant for the 2025-26 season and helped coach distance events from the 400 meters and up, relays, and cross country, while also serving as the lead coach for javelin.
During her time as an SU student-athlete, the middle-distance runner earned five All-ODAC honors in indoor track and field. Plowman claimed four All-ODAC awards as part of the distance medley relay (DMR) and one in the 4x400-meter relay in 2024.
Additionally, Plowman ranks in the top 10 all-time for the Hornets in the 300 meters (indoor), 500 meters (indoor), 800 meters (indoor and outdoor), mile (outdoor), and javelin (outdoor). Her indoor 800-meter time of 2:21.00 currently stands as the school record.
