WINCHESTER, Va. - Host Shenandoah held a one-goal lead late into the second half of its non-conference contest with Bridgewater Wednesday afternoon, but the Eagles tallied twice in the final 15 minutes to take a 2-1 win.

SU (7-5-2) lost for the first time in five outings as Bridgewater (11-4) got two goals from Robert Williamson in virtually the same spot to escape with the victory.

Williamson tied the game in the 76th minute when he ripped a shot into the lower left-hand corner of the net from 20 yards out. With two minutes remaining, lightning struck for the second time as Williamson received a through pass, dribbled past his defender and hit a rocket into the same spot he had hit 12 minutes earlier.

The Hornets had taken the initial lead of the game 21:40 in when senior Jesse Fullerton (Catharpin, Va./Stonewall Jackson) ripped home a feed from sophomore Brian Sikorski (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge) from just outside the 18-yard box.

The Eagles win spoils Shenandoah's opportunity to get coach Rob Kulton his 100th career victory. Kulton will get a second attempt Saturday afternoon when USA South opponent Averett University pays a visit to Winchester for a 2:00 contest.
