NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team completed its season Saturday night with a 5-0 USA South Conference loss at Christopher Newport University.

CNU (13-5, 6-1) scored three goals in the first half, two more in the second and held the Hornets (7-7-1, 2-5-1) without a shot in the regular season finale for both schools.

SU keeper Megan Ross (Harrisburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) made 10 saves in the losing effort.

The seven wins posted by Shenandoah is the most since 1998 and the .500 record is the best since SU shared a Dixie Conference championship with NC Wesleyan in 1997 with a 10-3-2 overall record.
