GREENSBORO, N.C. – Greensboro College used 10 point runs in both the first and second halves to key a 67-51 Dixie Conference victory Saturday afternoon at Hanes Gymnasium in Greensboro.

Greensboro (15-7, 9-4) and SU (12-10, 6-7) were tied at 19 with 7:42 remaining in the first when the Lady Pride kicked it into another gear and pulled away from the Hornets with an 18-10 run. GC made five of its 12 shots during this stretch and forced the visitors into three turnovers and held them to just five total field goal attempts.

Freshman Dee Fisher (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) had a half high 12 points in the first to help keep SU in it while April Hall had 10 for the hosts.

Shenandoah got itself back into the game at the start of the second and cut the deficit to just three at 41-38, but Greensboro erased any thought of a repeat of the SU comeback in Winchester on February 2 by going on a 10-0 run over the next three minutes.

Fisher finally ended the spurt with a 3-pointer at the 11:04 mark, but the damage was done and Shenandoah would get no closer.

Fisher led all scorers with 20 points while Jenny Gray (Sumerduck, Va./Liberty) added 10.

Hall had 16 to head up a group of four GC players in double figures.
