HOLLINS, Va. - Shenandoah University used goals early in both halves Thursday afternoon to take 2-0 non-conference victory over host Hollins University in non-conference women's soccer action.

SU (4-3) got a goal from junior Heather Lethbridge (Belvidere, N.J./Belvidere) in the 3rd minute and then freshman Lauren Carpinello (Spring Lake Heights, N.J./Manasquah) tallied two minutes into the second half to provide the Hornets with the winning margin.

The victory also gives SU its highest win total since the 1999 season. Shenandoah was 7-10 in that year and has not won more than three games in any season since.

Freshman Megan Ross (Harrisburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) had to make just one save in recording her second shutout in the last three games. SU outshot Hollins (1-8) 25-5 for the contest.
