FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Keeper Chris Peter (Chantilly, Va./Northern Virginia CC) made eight saves, but Methodist College scored two second half goals to take a 2-0 USA South Conference men's soccer victory Saturday afternoon.
Methodist (8-4-1 overall, 3-1 USA South) got a Kevin Gray unassisted goal in the 58th minute and an Adam Sippy tally 14 minutes later to give the Monarchs their first win over Shenandoah (4-7-1, 1-3) since the 1998 season.
MC keeper Justin Agema made five saves to earn the shutout.
