WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University snapped its three game losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over Lincoln (Pa.).
Shenandoah (5-7-1) got goals from Chad Blizzard (Owasso, Okla./Owasso) in the 26th minute and Mohamed Toure (Lorton, Va./Robert E. Lee) in the 57th minute to win for the first time since a 7-0 win over Ferrum College on October 2.
Blizzard's goal was unassisted, while SU keeper Kyle Hodges (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) assisted on Toure's tally.
Hodges had to make just two saves to record his team leading third shutout of the season.
The Hornets outshot Lincoln (8-7) 21-9 for the game, including 8-2 in shots on goal.
Lions keeper John Oluwole had six saves.
