FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist College scored just over 200 seconds into the game Saturday afternoon to key a 5-0 USA South victory over visiting Shenandoah University.
Methodist (10-6-1 overall, 4-1-1 USA South) got a Monica Girth goal 3:21 into the game off of a Chrystal Bradley assist and never looked back against Shenandoah (5-10-2, 0-3-2).
The Monarchs outshot SU 14-1 in the game and led 3-0 at the break. Bradley fed Girth for a second goal in the 22nd minute before adding two goals of her own in the 32nd and 66th minutes.
Hornets keeper Lauren Elliott (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) made five saves in the loss.
