STAUNTON, Va. - The SU women's soccer team got its second straight victory Wednesday afternoon with a 2-1 win at Mary Baldwin College.
Shenandoah (7-10-2) matched its win total from last season behind goals from Lauren Carpinello (Spring Lake Heights, N.J./Mansaquan) and Tiffany Johnson (Winchester, Va./Sherando) in the 10th and 37th minutes, respectively.
Mary Baldwin (6-8-2) answered back just over two minutes into the second half, but could get no closer.
SU keeper Lauren Elliott (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) made four saves, all in the first half, to secure the victory. SU outshot the Squirrels 19-9, including 9-3 after the break.
