WINCHESTER, Va. - The SU volleyball team dropped the opening game, but came back strong to defeat Ferrum College 3-1 (25-30, 30-23, 30-22, 30-16) in USA South Conference volleyball action Tuesday night.
Shenandoah (10-9 overall, 4-4 USA South) has now won four straight over the Panthers (5-13, 1-7).
Freshman Christina Greene (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) led the Hornets with a match high 18 kills with Jennifer Thompson (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) adding eight and Michelle Chandler (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles West) and Carolyn Maness (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) each chipping in nine.
Freshman libero Jenna Warrenfeltz (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) had a match high 20 digs and Greene 16 to lead the defense.
Mindy Altice had 16 kills and 11 digs for Ferrum.
