GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro College scored a layup with three seconds remaining Sunday afternoon to escape with a 59-58 USA South Conference victory over visiting Shenandoah.

GC (13-13 overall, 7-9 USA South) had trailed virtually the entire game; SU (12-13, 9-7) led by as many as 14 in the second and had a seven point lead with 1:40 remaining.

The Pride won the game on April Hall laid in a entry pass from Paris Buckner on the hosts final possession of the contest. The bucket completed a 7-0 run in the last 100 seconds.

The loss does not hurt the Hornets seeding for next week's conference tournament as SU will face fifth seeded Peace in the Thursday quarterfinals. The two teams actually tied for fourth in the league, but Peace gets the seed by virtue of its win over Christopher Newport earlier in the year.

Senior Adina Trammel (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) led SU with 14 points, while Dee Fisher (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) added 13. Buckner had a game high 20 for GC.
