BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Freshman goalkeeper Ana Quinones (North Augusta, S.C./Iowa Central CC) had seven saves, but it was not enough as Bridgewater took a 2-0 non-league women's soccer decision Wednesday afternoon.
The two teams played even for the first 44 minutes of the game before Bridgewater (1-0) got the eventual game-winner in the final minute of the first half on an unassisted tally by Rachael Creasy.
SU (0-1) continued to battle but the Eagles iced the contest with a Joelle Kesyer goal in the 60th minute.
BC outshot the Hornets 13-6 and had five corner kicks to the Hornets one.
