FERRUM, Va. - It took an extra week, but the Shenandoah University women's volleyball team opened USA South Conference play with a win in a 3-1 (30-19, 28-30, 30-23, 30-26) victory over Ferrum College.

In a match that was rescheduled from September 8 due to flooding in the Ferrum area, the Hornets (5-4, 1-0) got their third straight victory over the Lady Panthers (3-7, 0-2) dating back to the 2002 season.
