ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan sandwiched a pair of goals around the halftime intermission Friday afternoon to defeat visiting Shenandoah University 2-0 in USA South Conference women's soccer action.
NC Wesleyan (2-3-1, 1-1) scored goals in the 31st and 48th minutes to defeat SU (3-4, 0-1).
SU freshman Lauren Elliott (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) made 13 saves, but the Bishops kept the pressure on by taking 25 of the game's 27 shots. They also had all four corner kicks taken.
