WINCHESTER, Va. - Rowan University made its southern trip worthwhile Sunday afternoon with a 6-0 women's soccer victory over host Shenandoah.

Rowan (4-1), which had a scheduled match against Shepherd cancelled on Saturday, wasted little time in jumping on SU (3-5) Sunday afternoon.

The Profs scored just 1:48 into the contest and added goals in the 11th, 27th, 31st and 41st minutes to take a commanding 5-0 halftime lead.

SU keeper Lauren Elliott (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) made 13 saves, but didn't get any help as Rowan held its hosts without a shot.

A complete box score and play by play for this game can be found at http://www.su.edu/athletics/wsoc/2004/091904.htm

Shenandoah is back in action on Wednesday at Penn State-Altoona.
