WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University field hockey team snapped its five-game losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 shutout of visiting Hood College.
Shenandoah (2-5) had not won since defeating Wilson College in the season opener.
Sunday's contest was scoreless until sophomore Erika Bradd (Front Royal, Va./Warren County) connected off of an Erin Flannelly (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May) assist in the 64th minute.
The goal held up as SU held the Blazers (3-4) to only one shot on the day.
