WINCHESTER, Va. – The SU women suffered the same fate as their male counterparts Sunday afternoon against Greensboro; GC defeated the Hornets 3-0 in USA South Conference action.
Greensboro (2-4-1 overall, 1-0-1 USA South) scored once in the first half before adding a pair late in the game to send Shenandoah (3-7, 0-2) to its fourth straight defeat.
Natlie Henderson scored the game winner off of a Jackie Cianfrani feed at the 10:32 mark of the first to give the Lady Pride all it would need.
GC outshot the Hornets 14-3 for the game, including 8-1 following intermission. They tallied their second half goals in the 77th and 90th minutes.
Lauren Elliott (Lynchburg, Va./EC Glass) made five saves for Shenandoah.
