BETHLEHEM, Pa. - It took until the final match of the tournament, but the SU volleyball team gave coach Sarah Pelster her 400th career victory Saturday afternoon in the second round of the Moravian College Tournament.
Shenandoah (1-3) got Pelster her 400th career win with a 3-0 (32-30, 30-20, 30-13) over DeSales University in Saturday's second consolation match.
The Hornets opened up Saturday play with a hard-fought, 3-1 (30-20, 30-15, 26-30, 30-24) loss to St. Mary's of Maryland.
Freshman Michelle Chandler (St. Charles, Mo./St. Charles West) led her club in the opening match with 16 assists, nine kills and eight digs while classmate Jenna Warrenfeltz (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) and senior Hannah Williams (Salem, Va./Glenvar) added 12 and 17 digs, respectively.
Chandler was once again the story in the victory over DeSales; she had eight kills to go along with 19 assists and four service aces. Williams led on offense with nine kills.

Shenandoah opens USA South Conference play at home on Wednesday night against Ferrum College. Game time is 7:00.Â
