FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist College took advantage of 31 Shenandoah University turnovers to defeat the Hornets 80-68 in USA South Conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon.
Methodist (5-4, 1-1 USA South) scored 13 points in each half off of turnovers to send Shenandoah (2-5, 0-1 USA South) to its first defeat of the spring semester.
SU was as close as four points with 8:02 left after freshman Netagia Foreman (Winchester, Va./Sherando) hit a jumper in the paint, but the Lady Monarchs scored eight of the game's next 10 points to seal the victory.
Foreman led all scorers with 25 points while Spice Suddarth (Waynesboro, Va./Waynesboro) added 15 and Cassie Womack (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield) 14 with 12 rebounds.
Lisa Jackson led MC with 16 points.Â
