WINCHESTER, Va. - Division II Shepherd University scored the only goal of the game Monday afternoon to give the visiting Rams a 1-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over host Shenandoah.
Shepherd (7-6-1) got the game's only goal in the 23rd minute when Courtney McCauley redirected a Hornets (7-5-1) clearing attempt and beat SU keeperÂ

The Rams kept up the pressure in the second half, taking eight of the nine shots during the session, but freshmanÂ
Megan Clark kept her side in it with three saves.
Shepherd also held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
