FERRUM, Va. - The SU women's volleyball team earned its first USA South Conference victory of the season Wednesday evening with a 3-2 victory over host Ferrum College.
Shenandoah (6-17, 1-8 USA South) battled back to take a 26-30, 30-18, 30-20, 26-30, 16-14 victory over the Lady Panthers (7-19, 1-8).
The loss snaps an 11-match conference losing streak stretching back to October 26, 2004.

Chandler had a team high 14 kills, Thompson 12 with 11 digs and Hamlin had 10 kills to go along with the same number of digs.

Catherine Beuerle had a game-high 38 assists.
