WINCHESTER, Va. - Methodist College used a pair of second half goals to take a 2-0 USA South Conference women's soccer victory over host Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
Methodist (5-9-1, 2-1-1 USA South) keeps its chances of hosting first-round game in the USA South Conference Tournament alive with the win.
Shenandoah (9-6-1, 3-2) sees its chances of gaining a first-round bye end. The Hornets will now likely host a quarterfinal round game on November 1 at 4:00.
MC scored the what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 54th minute and got an insurance tally 12 minutes later.
