GREENSBORO, N.C. - Shenandoah University suffered through a pair of losses Saturday afternoon at the USA South Conference volleyball quad hosted by Greensboro College.
Shenandoah (6-19, 1-10 USA South) lost both matches via the sweep to league powers Greensboro and Averett. GC (22-6, 9-1 USA South) opened play with a 30-18, 30-9, 30-14 victory behind 14 kills from Katie Smith.
Following a quick break, Averett (20-10, 8-2) finished off the sweep with a 30-19, 30-20, 30-22 win in match two.

Jennifer Thompson led SU in the two matches with a combined 20 kills while classmateÂ
Alex Hamlin added 16. Hamlin backed up her team high seven digs in the Greensboro match with six against the Lady Cougars.
