NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University used a five-goal spurt late in the first half Saturday evening to key an 8-0 USA South Conference victory over visiting Shenandoah.
CNU (11-4-1, 5-0 USA South) scored goals in the 20th, 27th, 32nd, 43rd and 45th minutes to jump all over the Hornets (10-7-1, 3-3).

Megan Clark had a career best 13 saves, but it was not enough as the Lady Captains held a 34-1 advantage in shots.
CNU also had all three corner kicks taken in the contest.
