NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University jumped all over visiting Shenandoah Wednesday night in a 9-0 USA South Conference men's soccer victory.
CNU (9-2, 3-0 USA South) scored just eight minutes in and led 8-0 at the break as the Captains held SU (4-6, 0-3) to just one shot in the first 45 minutes of play.
Shenandoah held its hosts to just a single goal following the break, but could not get any offense going as CNU took 14 of the 15 second half shots.
