ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Shenandoah University completed its weekend road trip to start the USA South Conference volleyball season Saturday afternoon with a pair of 3-0 losses to Averett University and Greensboro College.
Averett (9-3, 3-0 USA South) took the opener 30-13, 30-19, 30-21 before Greensboro (10-0, 2-0) was a 30-10, 30-18, 30-13 victor in the nightcap. SU falls to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in the league with the two losses.

Jennifer Kidd led the Hornets with seven kills in the Averett match whileÂ
Michelle Chandler added six along with a team high eight digs.
Kidd was the offensive story against Greensboro as well - she had a co-team high four kills against the Lady Pride. SophomoreÂ
Alex Hamlinmatched Kidd's output.
