GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro College staved off a determined Shenandoah University men's soccer team Saturday afternoon in a 2-1 USA South Conference victory.

Greensboro (3-5-1, 2-1 USA South) took 26 of the game's 33 shots, but found itself in a tie game after Shenandoah (3-5, 0-1 USA South) tied it in the 65th minute.

SU got that equalizing goal when junior Chad Blizzard received a long through pass from senior Mihailo Prelevic and found himself with a one-on-one. After beating his defender, Blizzard converted his chance past the on-rushing Pride keeper.

Greensboro answered with what proved to be the game-winner 19 minutes later when Eric Hatchett beat Hornets keeper Chris Peter to the far side.

Peter made eight saves on 10 shots on goal.
