GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro College ended the longest Shenandoah University women's soccer winning streak in 10 seasons Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 USA South Conference victory.
Greensboro (3-5, 2-0 USA South) got a Meredith Carroll goal in the 22nd minute before adding a pair of Ashton Oliver tallies late in the contest to snap Shenandoah's (6-3-1, 1-1 USA South) winning streak at four.
This four-game streak is the longest for the program since the 1995 team won five straight leading up to a its final regular season contest at Methodist College.
GC outshot the Hornets 13-8 for the contest but had just a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
