ARLINGTON, Va. - The SU women soccer team matched their male counterparts Wednesday afternoon by posting a 1-0 non-league road victory.

The victim for the SU women (2-1-1) was Marymount University (0-3). Shenandoah got the game-winning goal in the 32nd minute when freshman Sabrina Zehr gathered in a rebound of an Amanda Wade shot and knocked home the only goal of the contest.

Zehr's shot was the only one of the half for the Hornets, who rode the strong play of sophomore keeper Lauren Elliott to victory. Elliott made six of her game-high nine saves in the second half as the Saints pelted the SU goal with nine shots.

It is Elliott's 11th career shutout - she is just two shutouts shy of the career mark of 13 set by Shelby Berkheimer from 1997-98.

Complete statistics on Wednesday's game will be available Thursday morning.

Shenandoah is back in action Saturday afternoon at Rowan University.
