FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. E Methodist College scored the lone goal of the game midway through the second half to earn a 1-0 USA South Conference menís soccer victory over visiting Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.

Methodist (12-2-1, 2-1-1 USA South) got an unassisted tally from Ime Umoh in the 60th minute to keep Shenandoah (0-9-2, 0-3-1) from grabbing its first victory of the 2006 season.

SU keeper  Armand Bozorgmanesh, playing in place of Brian Garretson, made eight saves in his second collegiate start. Bozorgmanesh made the start because Garretson received a red card in the Hornets previous contest.
