FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. E Methodist College scored the lone goal of the game midway through the second half to earn a 1-0 USA South Conference menís soccer victory over visiting Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
Methodist (12-2-1, 2-1-1 USA South) got an unassisted tally from Ime Umoh in the 60th minute to keep Shenandoah (0-9-2, 0-3-1) from grabbing its first victory of the 2006 season.

Brian Garretson, made eight saves in his second collegiate start. Bozorgmanesh made the start because Garretson received a red card in the Hornets previous contest.
The Monarchs outshot their visitors 12-11, but Shenandoah held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.
