STAUNTON, Va. - Shenandoah University had record setting performances on both ends of the field Tuesday afternoon in a 9-0 non-league women's soccer victory over Mary Baldwin College.
Shenandoah (4-13) got a third-best in school history eight points from freshmanÂ
Jen Stoup to key the win over the Squirrels (3-11).
Defensively, junior goalkeeperÂ
Lauren Elliott made four saves to post her second shutout in the past three games and the 14th of her career. This whitewash allows Elliott to pass Shelby Berkheimer '01 for No. 1 on the career shutouts list.
Stoup got the offensive onslaught started with an unassisted goal at 4:38, and added another just 40 seconds later. She assisted juniorÂ
Nikki Leonard at 10:26 and then got her hat trick with a third unassisted goal at 12:03.
Megan Ross andÂ
Megan Clark paired up for two goals and two assists at 23:24 and 32:01, with Ross scoring the former and Clark the latter.
Ross and Clark scored again at 33:48 and 55:16, respectively, before Stoup completed her time on the scoresheet by feeding sophomoreÂ
Katie Bowers with just under eight minutes left.
