WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University earned a season sweep of its volleyball series with future USA South Conference opponent Mary Baldwin College Tuesday night with a 3-2 victory.
However, the Hornets (9-7) had to rally for their second victory in as many meetings with the Squirrels (7-14). Trailing 2-1 after losing games two and three 30-21 and 30-26, respectively, SU came back to win game four 30-26 and game five 15-9.
Shenandoah scored the first seven points of the decisive fifth game and never let its lead dip to less than four points before closing out the match by scoring three of the last four points.

Jennifer Thompson led SU offensively with a game-high 18 kills while also posting 20 assists and 20 digs. ClassmateÂ
Michelle Chandlerjust missed matching Thompson's triple-double - she had 16 kills, 19 assists and nine digs.
FreshmanÂ
Tina Conner had a match-high 23 digs to lead the defense.
Colena Roberts led Mary Baldwin 15 kills.
