GREENSBORO, N.C. - Second-seeded Greensboro College ended Shenandoah University's women's soccer season Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory in the USA South Tournament quarterfinals.
Greensboro (8-8-2) scored pair of late goals to advance to Friday's semi-finals at Methodist College where they will take on the winner of the No. 3 Christopher Newport versus No. 6 NC Wesleyan game. The top-seeded Lady Monarchs defeated Peace College 10-0 today in another 11:30 a.m. quarterfinal round matchup.

GC scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with just over five minutes to play when Jackie Cianfrani found an opening in traffic and headed home a Stephanie Keough corner kick.
With 10 seconds remaining, Ashton Oliver tallied an unassisted goal to provide the final margin of victory.
The Lady Pride held SU without a shot in the game and peppered SU keeperÂ
Lauren Elliott with 21 shots and 12 corner kicks. Elliott made eight saves, all in the first half, to keep her side in it.
